It's tropical rain for us today. It feels really refreshing. The locals told us that the big island is in a drought season right now, so it's usually greener than it is now. No one has sprinklers here, the lawns are just green from the rain. At night we hear all the tropical birds singing and our neighborhood is bordering a jungle. Hahahaha!
We had a really yummy mango today, and we haven't gone to farmer's market yet but we want to check it out soon....I made fried tofu with broccoli, steamed brown rice & cucumber with lemon.
We can hardly wait till our car gets here! Tomorrow we are going to the bank to add my name to the Bank of Hawaii account Jer opened up a few days ago. I'm so glad because there's no Bank of America here. Well there is but it's in Kona, which is on the other side of the island.
We like living here so far, we just miss our all of our peeps, which is natural. Baby Jeremiah is wiggling more & more each day! He's especially happy when I eat:)
Since we've been here we've been walking quite a bit, which is great for me & baby. I think that the lifestyle here is definitely more laid back.
Last night we went on an early evening walk and there were people chilling outside with family & friends, having a barbecue. It was really cozy to see. There are plumeria trees everywhere and these beautiful tropical trees that have GORGEOUS flowers on them. I don't know the name though....
Right now were hanging out watching animal planet:)
