"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith Jehovah, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then you shall call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart."

Fancy Friday!
Today we went on a fancy date to....KTA!!! hahaha It's one of the local grocery stores here....
Okay, so maybe it's not really "fancy" but we got out of the house nevertheless.
These are our dates now....walking through the aisles.....checking out the sales....picking out the chocolate Silk soy milk.....Grabbing a stash of Newman's Own chocolate creme cookies.....or trying out a new flavor of chips from Kettle....
Snack attacks I tell you! It's true what they say "DON"T go grocery shopping when you're hungry! hahaha :)
Oh and now let me share this beet salad recipe I made up the other day... Hubby really likes it too! It's really simple :-)
SO all you do is chop into cubes a couple of small-medium sized beets, a handful of cilantro, a hefty tablespoon of Vegenaise, and a sprinkle of Spike's Vege-sal seasoning... and Voila! It's so good, and really refreshing too.
Beets are so good for your blood, they contain lots of iron and other essential vitamins. They are great for everyone especially those prone to anemia, or who currently have it.
I had anemia in high school and I remember my grandma recommending beets, oh how I despised beets then! haha Now I quite like them. I hope you enjoy the recipe! =)
Have a Fancy Friday!
"fancy" and tasty snacks,
Kat

Living in the Moment!
| Newborn feet |
| Daddy & Son Love |
Then I realize how stupid it is to think that way....after all he's only going to be a baby ONCE! I have to enjoy this, the whole deal! (Including withdrawals from my good old friend Sleep. Haha! ....Although I have had a lot more visits from her lately:)
I mean this is some of the most precious time, each stage has something beautiful to it....and in this stage it's his gorgeous chubby little physique, beautiful baby giggles/laugh out loud moments, wiggling all of his limbs for excitement when he knows he's about to eat, splashing with joy like there's no tomorrow during bath time, and many other unique to baby moments!!!
So now I encourage you to live in the NOW and resist the temptation to worry about tomorrow....for "each day has enough trouble of its own" and let "tomorrow worry about itself"
Note: This DOESN'T mean you should live without making plans...just don't let your plans rule YOU!!! AKA:: Make ROOM for spontaneity!!!!!!!!!! =)
Beautiful baby giggles sent to your ear drums,
Kat

Happy-ness.
Have you ever given into voyeurism? I mean, I guess we all do it. It seems that human nature is ever so curious of what is on the "other side" sometimes we get "the grass is greener" syndrome.
I just heard a cool quote today "A rich man on his death bed never asks for his bank statement."
The most amazing things in life are free!
Being a mom has brought a whole new meaning/perspective to my life. I find that I enjoy the things that my son enjoys because HE enjoys them.....I have new-found joys, simpler, yet more fulfilling and meaningful.
Example: Stroller rides in the hot island sun, playing patty-cake, etc...
I don't think I'd enjoy those walks as much as I do (even with the most gorgeous weather), if I were walking alone....and I definitely wouldn't be playing patty cake by myself! ha ha ha!
It's even EXTRA fun when daddy is home and since he's been on vacation this months, it's been awesome spending quality time together as a little trio!
We sometimes feel that if we only had this or if we only had that THEN we would be happy. NOPE! That's not what makes us happy...Have you noticed that everyone craves relationships/to be relative/to have someone that understands you and gets to know you and accepts you for who you are....? Well God created us for one another and he offers us advice on how to get these kind of OUT OF THIS WORLD relationships he wants us to have.... free of charge! He commanded us to: "love one another" "accept one another" "greet one another" and so many "one anothers"..... (1Thess.3:12, Romans 15:7, 2 Cor. 13:12)
Sometimes we do not do these things because we are too busy....too busy being "busy," holding grudges, allowing petty differences/misunderstandings get in the way, etc...
It's time to give it over to God, if we can let go of all these things then we can truly experience LIFE more abundantly!!!
I will be the first to admit I can be as stubborn as an ox! Yet there is HOPE! The best things in life are free... take lessons from little children. They are quick to forgive, they are simple (they don't complicate things like we "grown-ups" do), and they love whole-heartedly! So now I'm daring to tell you, yeah you, I LOVE YOU. (Just in case you haven't heard that lately....I personally believe we need to hear these words more often)
warm fuzzies and a child-like faith,
Kattie

Little foot.
How precious it is that we have the ability to mold and direct the paths of a little soul. A mother's prayer is always for the best for her child.... and it is only through the Lord's gracious words of wisdom that a mother (& father) can learn and give the best home life a parent can give.
